  1) Press and hold down the Windows Key and then "R" key at same time to get the Run Menu
2) Type MSCONFIG from the Run menu, press enter.
3) Click on the Tools tab. Scroll down till you find "Disable UAP"
(this may also be named UAC in next Vista version).
Click on that line.
4) Press the Launch button.
5) A CMD window will open. When the command is done, you can close the window.
6) Close MSCONFIG. You need to reboot the computer for changes to apply.
Note that you can re-enable UAC by selecting the "Enable UAP" line and then clicking on the Launch button.

Using WebCam with Windows XP SP2 or SP3 version

If your PC is using Windows XP SP2 or SP3, you may have a problem with first time access.

Otherwise - Follow the steps below, it will help you solve the problem.

Close every program, and go back to desktop.

On the desktop, usually you should see IE logo there.
Right Click on top of IE and left click to choose properties
( = open Internet Options)


Or, you can go to Start -> Settings -> Control Pannel
Choose Internet Options

When Internet Options is open,
you should see Internet Properties.

Go to Security tab on the top.

 

 

 

 

 

Select Custom Level button

Then, you should see Security Settings dialog box.

 

Make sure
A
utomatic prompting for ActiveX controls
is set to
Enable


And also,
Make sure
Download unsigned ActiveX controls
is set to
Prompt

In general set any ActiveX control from Disable to
Prompt if that's an option
or
Enable if Prompt is not an option

Click OK

Then, You should see a Warning! message.

Don't worry. Just click Yes to change

Now, click OK to finish Internet Properties setting.

 

You should go back to desktop now.

     

You have now set your IE to prompt you to accept ActiveX Controls to View the Webcam ..........
